How to support WOTR’s Mobile Feminist Bookstore

 

The idea for a mobile feminist bookstore came about while on recent travels throughout the US.  While some of us have the time and ability to search out and support feminist bookstores in person, the current lack of lesbian and women’s spaces has made it difficult for many of us to experience what used to be a pillar of the women’s community.  WOTR’s mission is to use the mobile bookstore to give more women access to women’s books, music and publications and to provide women an option to give a new life to their book collections.  We take the mobile feminist bookstore to women’s festivals, community events, pop-ups, etc . . . anywhere that lesbians and women gather! 

 

We are located in central Ohio but we do go on road trips to pick up large book donations.  

 

How you can help:

 

• Donate your new/used lesbian/feminist/women’s books, music, & publications to the WOTR Bookstore.  We accept feminist nonfiction, lesbian fiction, women’s erotica, vintage and modern books, women’s music, publications, periodicals, film, and videos.  If you have a question please contact us.  

• Support all feminist/lesbian/women’s bookstores in person or via mail order - see our resources listing page. 

• Share this project with your friends and groups so that they know how to donate their used books to the WOTR Mobile Bookstore.

• Contact us if you are interested in having the Women of the Revolution mobile bookstore at your event.
